Peter Dowd is an executive leader with experience ranging from Fortune 50 to start-ups transitioning to more formal corporate structures. Most recently, he was Chief Commercial and Operating Officer at Ascent Solutions - a Microsoft-focused Cybersecurity firm. During his tenure at Ascent, he led initiatives to standardize company operations to support growth, set strategic direction, and scale service delivery. These contributions drove multiple funding rounds to enable Ascent to become a nationally known firm. Through this growth cycle, he dedicated himself to preparing technical leaders for the challenges and opportunities that team leadership creates.

Prior to Ascent, Peter was an IT executive at Target with a strong focus on re-shaping teams to improve their alignment with strategic direction. He has also held leadership positions at Accenture, Best Buy, and Ernst & Young Consulting.

Peter brings expertise in implementing and using the EOS® system (Traction®) as vehicle to drive business growth and maturity. He is also adept at working with corporate boards and external investors. He takes great pride in building working relationships externally and internally.

He is Board President of a local, non-profit focused on Agrarian Ministry and providing food from its farm to local food shelves. Peter is married and has three adult children. He and his wife enjoy spending time at the cabin, travel, cooking, and hiking.
