Don is the Managing Principal of Hannover Consulting, which provides business financial consulting services, including investment banking, M&A transactions, financial analysis, capital raising, and international expansion.

Don served previously as Managing Director at Dain Rauscher, and Senior Vice President and Principal at Miller & Schroeder Financial.

Don is also a Professor of Finance in the DBA and MBA programs at Saint Mary’s University, and a Senior Lecturer at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He teaches graduate courses in Capital Markets, Global Finance, Financial Institutions, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Financial Modeling, and Government Finance. Don has an MAPA in Urban Economic Development and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Minnesota, and a Doctorate degree in International Business. Don is a published author and frequent speaker.

Don is a member of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (and CM&AA certified). He is on the Board of Directors of the German-American Chamber of Commerce, Enova Illumination, and Moto-I (the only sake brew pub in North America). He is also on the Board of Advisors of the Isthmus Foundation (stem cell research). He is an active mentor in the Minnesota Cup business plan competition, and at Carlson School. Don is a veteran, and served as an intelligence analyst. He is a dual US-German citizen.
