Brad Ballinger

Brad is a Principal/Owner with Cincinnatus, a boutique consulting firm serving local, regional, national, and international nonprofit organizations. He began his career in academia teaching and coaching the forensics team at Illinois State University before performing organizational development roles for American Family Insurance, AgriBank, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Katun Corporation, and Presbyterian Homes and Services. In those roles, Brad created leadership development programs, facilitated strategic planning and process improvement teams, and onboarded new executives.

Outside the scope of “day job” work, Brad co-created LeadingAge Minnesota’s Leadership Academy for emerging leaders in the older adult services field, served on a Minnesota Governor’s committee to development a performance evaluation process for the judicial system, and was a five-time evaluator for the Minnesota Quality Award.

He holds a Master of Arts in Speech Communication from Miami University and a post-graduate certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Capella University. He is certified to administer a number of assessments and training programs including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, DiSC, Seven Habits, and Leading Organizational Transition. Finally, Brad was a finalist at the Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking.
