Art Shore
Art began his career a sales representative for a large consumer products organization. He went on to become a top seller and then was promoted into sales management. 5 years later he transitioned into sales training for the Hershey Chocolate Company. He later joined the Pillsbury Company as the head of sales training. He went on to become the global head of Learning & Development for two other multi-national organizations. In these positions, Art was charged with building training initiatives for thousands of employees globally.
In 1995 Art started STR Training & Development, an independent training consultancy with one client and grew it to a multimillion-dollar business. He sourced clients, assessed training needs, designed learning initiatives to fulfill skill and knowledge gaps, and evaluates results. Clients spanned numerous industries including telecom, broadband, consumer products, retail, finance, pharma, marketing services, among others.
Clients included: AT&T, HP, Cisco, Time-Warner, General Mills, Jostens, Union Pacific Railroad, Ericsson, Novartis, Landscape Structures, Best Buy, Famous Footwear, JDRF, Minneapolis Community College, The Minnesota Vikings, M&M Mars, Advantage Marketing, among others.
Art has worked with Normandale, Minneapolis College and Century College as an instructor and consultant to their Continuing Education businesses.
Art is a founding member of MBMentors. Launched in March 2020, we are an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our mission is to serve Minnesota small businesses, helping them establish, grow and prosper by sharing our collective wisdom through robust service offerings.
