MELISSA LONSKY

Melissa Lonsky, M.A., CCC-SLP, is the visionary behind Sora Pediatric Therapy, founded in 2004.  Melissa’s career began in 1999 after completing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.  

 

During her early tenure in the field, Melissa recognized a deficiency in outpatient pediatric therapy services within the north metro area. It was this realization that spurred her to create a private practice, a decision rooted in the desire to make therapy services more accessible to local families. 

 

Over the course of the next twenty years, Sora Pediatric Therapy expanded from a modest operation offering speech therapy at a single location with just two providers, to a multifaceted organization providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy and Myo functional therapy services across five clinic locations, boasting nearly 100 dedicated staff members.  

 

In 2023, Sora partnered with Ivy Rehab, a national provider of with over 500 clinics in 15 States.  

 

Melissa continues to lead Sora, as an ownership partner in the Ivy Rehab for Kids Minnesota region and one of its Regional Directors.  

 

Melissa is married and has two, teenage children.  She enjoys spending time at “the lake”, wake surfing, paddle boarding, golfing, cross country skiing, cooking and entertaining family and friends.
