Julie Menten
Julie Menten is a dynamic business development executive with over 35 years’ experience working with for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her knowledge and skills include sales/marketing strategy, performance management, internal/external communications, public relations, social media and digital marketing, research, and channel and employee engagement. She is highly analytical and goal-orientated with the ability to develop and manage multi-million-dollar business plans and priorities to achieve positive revenue results. Julie is recognized for her excellent oral and written communication skills and has been lauded as an exemplary manager, team player and mentor to others.
Julie's experience crosses multiple industries including financial services, manufacturing, IT consulting and travel. She is passionate about helping individuals and businesses achieve and sustain their desired results through planning, implementation, and change management.
Julie spent the majority of her career in the performance improvement, travel and meetings industry holding positions in sales, marketing and management with the industry's top companies; Maritz, Carlson Marketing Group and Motivation. In 2010 she left the industry to pursue her passion of working with young people, joining Up with People, a non-profit, global, educational organization where she was responsible for managing all aspects of sales and marketing to include constituent relations, student recruitment and tour sponsor sales for North America.
In 2012, Julie joined Society for Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) a non-profit, international, association in the meetings and incentives industry as Director of Media and Industry Relations responsible for development and delivery of SITE's external communications: media relations (PR), industry relations and content creation and management, in support of both SITE and the SITE Foundation. She served in this position until her retirement in 2018.
